The selection committee had been reviewing the film. The selection will be announced after 15th July 2019.
Call For Submission started from 1st May 2019 and ended on 15th June 2019.
There are two competitions for the SeaShorts Film Festival:
SeaShorts Competition
Open to Southeast Asian filmmakers.
20 short films will be selected for this competition.
CRITERIA FOR SEASHORTS AWARD
1. Director(s) must be from Southeast Asia.
2. The short film submitted must not have premiered in any film festival before 1st June 2018.
3. Country of production: Southeast Asian countries (fulfilled by at least three of these: film locations, core team members, main cast, or funding)
4. Film duration of not more than 30 minutes, including credits.
Jury Members:
Next New Wave Competition
Open to Malaysian filmmakers.
10 short films will be selected for this competition.
CRITERIA FOR NEXT NEW WAVE AWARD
1. Director(s) must be from Malaysia.
2. The short film submitted must not have premiered in any film festival before 1st June 2018.
3. Country of production: Malaysia (fulfilled by at least three of these: film locations, core team members, main cast, or funding)
4. Film duration not more than 30 minutes, including credits.
