Workshops

Workshop sessions are free-for-all and will be held live on the SeaShorts Facebook page: www.facebook.com/seashortsmy. These sessions will be recorded and the videos will remain on the Facebook page throughout the festival. Leave your questions as comments on the video, and the speakers will do their best to answer!

Sound of Vision

Is audio just as important as video? The answer is absolutely YES! Audio is just as, if not more important than video. Unfortunately, audio is usually neglected because of the misconception that the success of a video production highly depends upon the quality of video. In this knowledge sharing session, we will explore tips and tricks for recording superior quality audio for your video production.

Rusdi Badri is a music producer and audio engineer. His extensive skillset includes music production, sound design, field recording and sound engineering. As a product specialist and advisor at City Music Pte Ltd, his responsibilities include giving his best advice and solutions to music and audio enthusiasts.

With the rise of modern LED lighting, there have never been more tools at disposal for the aspiring filmmaker. Aputure has become a familiar name amongst the content creator and indie filmmaking communities. Presented by Apurture, independent filmmaker Timothy Koh explore a few possible lighting scenarios that a filmmaker may encounter and the areas to look out for.

About The Speaker

An independent filmmaker from Singapore, Timothy Koh started out with passion for filmmaking by directing for student film during his time in college. It was on his final student short film in college when he decided to be a cinematographer after his first experience in the role. Since then, he has worked on films ‘Crazy Rich Asians’ and ‘A Land Imagined’.
